Our Elo ratings and
statistics
Elo is a widely used rating
method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in games
such as Chess, Go, Scrabble and of course, Backgammon. New players
to New York City Backgammon are assigned a rating of 1500, reported
matches build their ratings higher or lower from this point. The
Elo-based ranking is a never ending list which will determine the best
players throughout the years. As usual for Elo-ratings, volatility is
pretty high below 400 experience points and changes occur frequently.
